The move marks a return to  MCR Property Group for Hayes who spent seven years at the firm between 2006-2013. For the past 8 years, Mark ran his own investment advisory firm, Antrobus Capital Partners, having previously served as Head of Investment at MCR Property Group and a key force in their expansion movement into commercial property and transitioning away from being predominantly a student property developer.

Based at MCR Property’s headquarters in Manchester, Hayes will be responsible for their commercial transactional activity across the United Kingdom and enhancing the value of assets through leveraging market demand.

Hayes will report to MCR Property Group founder & CEO Aneel Mussarat, who states, “I’m excited to welcome Mark back to run MCR’s commercial operation in key markets. His breadth and depth of experience in a number of areas including commercial property acquisitions will be of significant value to the board of directors and a great asset to us as we continue to grow in the future as well as optimise the value of MCR Property Group investments.”
Mark Hayes added, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my first chapter at MCR Property Group and I am now delighted to be returning home to Manchester to lead the commercial team. In my time away, I have remained acutely aware of the firm’s strength in acquiring, managing and disposing of some of the most complex commercial market assets across the UK and we are already well advanced with several key acquisitions that are nearing completion.”

Mark is not the only senior hire that will return to the firm. Several new appointments are “reflective of the ongoing transformation that has taken place at MCR Property Group over the past year as the company continues to bolster its industrial portfolio.”
